Bonaventure Chibamba Mutale is a Legal Practitioner with an illustrious career spanning several decades. He was admitted as an Advocate in 1976 and took silk in 1998. In 1997, he was appointed the Attorney General of Zambia, an office he held until 2002. Bonaventure has advised and acted for clients, including the Government, former Presidents, the central bank of Zambia, and a former Chief Justice of Zambia, in many matters of public importance, and served as the mentor of numerous prominent Advocates in their formative years. He is a member of the Law Association of Zambia, the American Bar Association, the International Trademark Association as well as the International Bar Association, and has previously served as a High Court Commissioner (part time Judge) and a member of the Law Association of Zambia’s Disciplinary Committee. Bonaventure has considerable experience in a broad range of legal areas, among them criminal, commercial and finance litigation, cementing his place as a leader at the Bar and the lead Advocate of litigation teams in criminal and election law matters.
